The New Racism
Until recently, most Americans believed that we were moving beyond racism. We hoped that the dream of Martin Luther King Jr., would be fulfilled, his children would grow up in a nation where they would “not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.” But that may not be possible. A new racism is spreading across America.
Racism in Everything
Stamped (For Kids) is an adaptation of Stamped: Racism, Antiracism, and You. This book makes Critical Race Theory (CRT) accessible for children. That alone would be troublesome, but this book generalizes, glosses over inconvenient facts, and in other places is factually incorrect.
CRT and Education
Within the scope of Critical Race Theory is the concept that whiteness is the ultimate property and that it conveys value and privilege to those born with it. Also, encapsulated within this theory is the idea that whites do not help blacks out of a sense of justice or fairness, but only to avoid confronting their own racism, to avoid criticism, or to make themselves look good.
The Brearley Letter
Woke culture, cancel culture, and critical race theory are taking over both public and private schools. I suspect that those who disagree with the previous statement will be deemed insufficiently woke and be canceled by the illiberal social media mob.
