Gender Journey

As I watched the South Park episode “Joining the Panderverse,” hope swelled within me that the recent progressive insanity might be crumbling.” Briefly, the episode shows Disney CEO, Robert Iger, and executive Kathleen Kennedy making woke decisions that drive the company’s share price down. That bit of delightful mockery was soon followed by the latest movie from the Daily Wire, Lady Ballers.

On the Precipice

As a child, I admired politicians. They were smart people, tackling difficult problems as they served their city, state, or the nation. Then I learned more about history, and read books like 1984, Brave New World, and Fahrenheit 451. I’m much more cynical today. I still respect a few of our leaders, but they must earn that respect. I don’t give it.

Police State is a one-hour, fifty-minute docudrama written and directed by Dinesh D’Souza, Debbie D’Souza, and Bruce Schooley, and stars Nick Searcy and Dan Bongino a former New York City Police (NYPD) officer, who then served as a Secret Service agent, and is now a radio commentator.

Do We Care Enough?

I didn’t want to see the Sound of Freedom. It’s a troubling film about a topic that decent people don’t usually discuss. But good people need to know that slavery is alive in the modern world and this multi-billion dollar crime network is growing. Each year hundreds of thousands of children are bought, sold, and used. This industry makes billions of dollars in profit for the criminals that traffic underage boys and girls.

Wicked & Good

It sounds like many fans think horror movies have started to get lazy. Movie viewers say this because horror movies lean on jump scares and exorcism films have become repetitive. Nefarious utilizes none of that and oddly it’s a Christian horror/thriller movie written the hard way with no gore or cheap jump scares—and it works.

Sex, Drugs, and the Bidens

My Son Hunter is a satire of Hunter Biden’s drug addiction and the alleged corruption that permeants the entire Biden family. Indeed, the movie starts with Joe Biden sniffing the hair of a Secret Service agent, played by Gina Carano. After he walks away she turns to the camera and states, “This is not a true story…except for all the facts.”

Rings of Woke

Fans were upset before they’d seen the first episode of Amazon’s Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power. There are many reasons fans are mad. Tolkien Scholars suddenly discussing transgender narratives in Lord of the Rings made fans suspicious. Some allege Tolkien scholars were bribed by Amazon. Also, an actress, Sophia Nomvete, boasted that she was the first female dwarf. She’s wrong. Several women play dwarfs in previous Tolkien movies. The production team gas-lighted fan claims that if they didn’t like the direction the Rings of Power was headed they were racist.

ZuckerBucks & Trump

During the COVID pandemic, Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan poured $400 million into election offices across the country. This massive infusion of what came to be known as ZuckerBucks promoted controversial practices such as unrequested mail-in ballots, ballot curing, and widespread drop boxes. Did Zuckerberg spend this money to make elections more open and fair during the pandemic or was this a partisan effort to assist Joe Biden? Rigged: The Zuckerberg Funded Plot to Defeat Donald Trump is a 41-minute documentary that examines the issue.

Unequal Justice

You’re sure you didn’t do anything wrong. It was just a political rally. At worst you trespassed, like hundreds of others with you. However, this is a free country and the buildings belong to the people. Don’t they? Then, before dawn a few days or weeks later, the FBI arrived at your home. They broke down your front door. They handcuff you, your wife, and children. Then the FBI threw you in jail and you’ve been in solitary confinement ever since. You don’t even know what you’re charged with. That’s the country described in the documentary Capitol Punishment.

A Stolen Election?

If significant ballot fraud occurred during the 2020 election a criminal investigation should be conducted and those responsible sent to jail. Did significant fraud occur? CBS News quotes unnamed election officials as saying the 2020 election was the “most secure in American history.” Is there evidence of rampant fraud and did it alter the outcome of the election? The ninety-minute documentary film 2000 Mules answers that question.

Hyperion Humor

There is a saying don’t judge a book by its cover. In the case of The Hyperions, the saying should go, don’t judge a movie by its trailer. This is The Daily Wire’s third release in just over a year. While Run Hide Fight and Shut In were deadly serious, The Hyperions is a humorous take on the superhero genre and arguably the least political Daily Wire movie to date.

We the People

Christian films have a long and deserved reputation for bad acting and preachy plots. This has gradually changed so that there are now better Christian films with good acting. However, the ultimate purpose of Christian cinema remains the same, to bring a better understanding of the faith to both Christian and non-Christian viewers. God’s Not Dead: We the People is a good example of the continued improvement of Christian film production.

Another Notch Better

The last few decades have seen great strides in the quality of Christian cinema. God’s Not Dead is another notch of improvement and an example of what can be done with an earnest film that has a strong faith message. The main character, Josh, is shown standing up for his faith despite the consequences. Professor Radisson is villainized but, I know of several professors like him in our public colleges and universities.

Reverse Robin Hood

In a constitutional republic, such as the United States, does the government have a right to take your house and land? It may surprise some of you that yes, the government can take your property and, the Supreme Court ruled in 2005, that they can even give it to another person.

A Right to Life Movie

One of the most well-known Supreme Court decisions is the 1973 ruling in Roe v. Wade. It is also one of the best examples of judicial activism, creating not only a legal basis for abortion but a right to it. The vast majority of the Democrat Party, many Republicans, most of Hollywood, and the media support this newfound right.

That’s Deplorable

YouTube had restricted access to a video called, The Ten Commandments: What you should know. That’s what the article by Dennis Prager, the creator of the video declared.

I did some checking. He’s right. Don’t misunderstand me; you can still watch the video unless you’ve activated the YouTube restricted mode. The restricted mode prevents the viewing of pornography, violence, and obscenity.
