The Right News

I quit watching most corporate broadcast news programs years ago. The anchors either couldn’t see their bias, or didn’t care. Either way, I didn’t want to listen. While Fox News is a large corporate media outlet they, better than most, seem to uphold journalistic ethics. Perhaps because of this, they have dominated the ratings for nearly twenty years. I get most of my news from them.

However, some of their anchors and commentators are left-wing. This is deliberate. For many years the network used the logo of, “We report. You decide,” and they still want to be seen as “Fair and balanced.”

I’m not interested in balance. From the news, I want facts and from commentary I want a conservative point of view. For the foreseeable future Fox News will probably remain my primary news source, but there are alternatives.

Fox Nation

Fox Nation evolved from an opinion website into a subscription streaming service that formally launched in 2018. The site is part of Fox Corporation and many of the Fox News anchors, reporters and commentators have programs on the streaming service. Currently, the news hosts include Tucker Carlson, Steve Hilton, Tammy Bruce, and many more. The non-news shows include The Chosen by Angel Studios, Duck Dynasty, Ainsley’s Bible Study, The Age of Rush, Fox Nation Outdoors, Untold: Patriots Revealed, Walk in My Combat Boots, At Home with Paula Dean, a variety of Christmas programs and more.

You can view Fox Nation on your laptop, smart phone, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV or, Xbox). I have a subscription and enjoy the site.

Newsmax

Newsmax began as a website on September 16, 1998, but has grown into a conservative multimedia company with a magazine, cable channel and streaming service. In 2017, The New York Times described Newsmax as a “potent force” in American politics. The company has also been described as a “landing spot for cable news personalities in need of a new home.” Several former Fox News hosts have moved to Newsmax including Diamond and Silk and Bill O’Reilly. Other notable hosts include Michelle Malkin and Dick Morris.

You can view Newsmax on your laptop, smart phone, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Pluto, Sling, Chromecast, Dish Network, DirecTV AT&T U-verse, AT&T TV and more.

Blaze Media

Founded in 2018 as a result of a merger between The Blaze and Conservative Review Television (CRTV), Blaze Media consists of The Blaze, a free website, BlazeTV, a subscription website, and a radio program. Notable hosts include is Glenn Beck, Mark Levin, Steven Crowder, and on the radio, Pat Grey.

You can view Blaze Media on your laptop, smart phone, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, and Chromecast.

One America News Network

The OANN launched on July 4, 2013 and is a conservative cable channel to the right of Fox News. The OANN Wikipedia page states that the network is known for, “pro-Trump content, promotion of conspiracy theories, and criticisms of the mainstream media.” Two of those three points I would consider a plus. Regarding the promotion of conspiracy theories, I have not watched the network enough to make an independent judgment.

OANN is available on DirecTV, Verizon FiOS, CenturyLink, Prism, AT&T U-verse, and AT&T TV.

Action Tip: There are plenty of conservative news sources. Abandon the left-wing media.
