The FBI Came Knocking
Elise Ketch is not the typical person I report on in this blog. She has described herself as politically progressive and works for an organization that advocates for dismantling capitalism. Earlier in her life, she served as a Diversity and Inclusion representative for the Honors College of Virginia Commonwealth University. Later, she served on the Dean's Diversity board. I’m certain there are many topics on which we would disagree. However, in her current employment, Ketch is the Digital Content Creator for the Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising. The PAAU bio of Ketch states that she is best known for her zine, “A Young, Femme, Gay Leftist Handed You this Pro-Life Zine.” Yes, Elise Ketch is pro-life.
Face to Face with the FBI
In May of 2022, someone leaked a draft of the Dobbs v. Jackson Supreme Court decision. The document indicated that the court planned to overturn Roe v. Wade and return the abortion issue to the states. The news triggered an avalanche of violence and vandalism against pro-life centers and churches that continues to this day. According to the Religious Freedom Institute, since the leak of the Supreme Court decision, “perpetrators have attacked at least 63 pro-life organizations, across 26 states and the District of Columbia.” While some local law enforcement agencies have conducted investigations, the response of the FBI and other agencies to these federal crimes has been impotent.
A Right to Life Movie
One of the most well-known Supreme Court decisions is the 1973 ruling in Roe v. Wade. It is also one of the best examples of judicial activism, creating not only a legal basis for abortion but a right to it. The vast majority of the Democrat Party, many Republicans, most of Hollywood, and the media support this newfound right.
