ZuckerBucks & Trump
Rigged: The Zuckerberg Funded Plot to Defeat Donald Trump
During the COVID pandemic, Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan poured $400 million into election offices across the country. This massive infusion of what came to be known as ZuckerBucks promoted controversial practices such as unrequested mail-in ballots, ballot curing, and widespread drop boxes. Did Zuckerberg spend this money to make elections more open and fair during the pandemic or was this a partisan effort to assist Joe Biden? Rigged: The Zuckerberg Funded Plot to Defeat Donald Trump is a 41-minute documentary that examines the issue.
As background, I should note that Rigged is produced by Citizens United Productions, that also made Hillary: the Movie, Torchbearer, and Rocky Mountain Heist. Founded in 1988, Citizens United is the conservative 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization that won the Citizens United v. FEC, case at the Supreme Court. That case centered on the very unflattering Hillary: the Movie, produced by Citizens United. While they had created the movie, campaign law at the time prohibited them from promoting it. They sued and eventually were victorious before the Supreme Court.
To say that the 2020 election was controversial would be an understatement. As former President Trump is quick to point out; he received over 10 million more votes in 2020 than in 2016. How could he have lost to Biden, campaigning largely from his basement or before small gatherings?
In multiple states, election laws were altered or ignored as grants totaling hundreds of millions flowed into battleground states such as Wisconsin, Arizona, and Georgia. The 2020 presidential election has led many to question both the voting process and the results. If America doesn’t have free and fair elections it’s no longer a free country.
David Bossie, chairman of Citizens United and Trump ally, produced the documentary for a reported $500,000. The film is directed by Jason Killian Meath and features interviews with the former president, Senator Ted Cruz, Speaker Newt Gingrich, Trump advisor Kellyanne Conway, and others.
On April 5th of this year, Trump held a screening of Rigged at Mar-a-Lago. In addition to the former president and family members, Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake, and an economist and author Peter Navarro attended. Reportedly, Trump liked the film which, he is convinced, points out real problems with our current election procedures.
Rigged does follow the money that poured into election offices and apparently helped the Biden basement campaign. I recommend Rigged for conservatives and especially for Trump supporters. The documentary is available on the Citizen’s United website for $4.99.
