Sex, Drugs, and the Bidens

Action Tip: Holding corrupt government officials, and those living off of them, to mockery and satire can be helpful—and perhaps even entertaining.

My Son Hunter is a satire of Hunter Biden’s drug addiction and the alleged corruption that permeants the entire Biden family. Indeed, the movie starts with Joe Biden sniffing the hair of a Secret Service agent, played by Gina Carano. After he walks away she turns to the camera and states, “This is not a true story…except for all the facts.”

Directed by Robert Davi, My Son Hunter stars, Laurence Fox as Hunter Biden, John James as Joe Biden, Emma Gojkovic as Grace Anderson, along with Gina Carano. Produced by Phelim McAleer and Ann McElhinney, the screenplay was written by Brian Godawa.  The movie, distributed by Breitbart, is not rated and should not be viewed by children for reasons we will explain.

The movie depicts the brief period just before the election of 2022 but after the discovery of the laptops abandoned by Hunter at the repair shop of John Paul Mac Isaac. According to Wikipedia, “The producers stated that the film will depict the alleged ‘business dealings and lifestyle of Hunter Biden.’” It does that with satire and humor. The fourth wall is broken several times to make points. Early on the movie shows Hunter snorting cocaine at a party. In the corner of the screen, a cartoon heart appears beating ever more rapidly. It then slows when he smokes crack. Later, when Hunter is bribed by a Chinese oil company, cartoon moneybags appear over his eyes.

Laurence Fox and John James both provide strong performances. The most powerful and poignant scenes are when they are together discussing the laptops, a deal, or each other. While the movie is based on actual events most of the dialogue is invented. However, at one point Joe confronts his son, “Oh, come on, man! What kind of moron forgets to pick up his laptop?” Hunter replies, “Actually, it’s uh, two laptops.” This is both a powerful and deeply sad moment. If you’ve read Laptop from Hell by New York Post columnist Miranda Devine or followed the news closely this movie won’t reveal anything new. However, if you are unaware of the details regarding alleged Biden family corruption, this might be a good place to begin your education.

The script intends to show Joe Biden as a parental failure and the resulting narcissism of Hunter Biden. While this may not be entirely true it lent plausibility to some of the inexplicable events uncovered on the laptop. The Grace Anderson character provides the moral conclusion of the movie but this bit of fiction is the weakest point of the film. It is hard to believe that supposedly reputable journalists and the FBI have ignored such brazen corruption.

The movie isn’t for everyone. While it is entertaining and sometimes amusing, it depicts a very shallow, money-grubbing, and corrupt, Biden family. There is vulgar language throughout, pervasive drug use, and sexual situations. The film is 95 minutes long and is available for $20.99 at mysonhunter.com.
