Busting Down Your Door?

Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) recently defended a proposed government ban on gas stoves. In the embedded video she supports her own use of a gas stove and later said, “This is about a decision about what may be sold and regulations in the far future, OK? So everyone, just take the temperature down a little bit. No secret government agency is going to bust down your door and take your gas stove away.” She is probably correct about that but, only because the federal government has a better method to make you comply.

The Red Ripple

I’m old enough that I should know better. Many pundits declared a Republican red wave would sweep the nation on November eighth. I allowed myself to be caught up in their pre-election enthusiasm. I thought we had good candidates and that the issues were on our side. I continue to believe that defunding the police, cashless bail, and open borders are bad ideas. I felt certain that people would see that and vote in a massive way for change. More people did vote and an assortment of America First candidates did win but, more progressives were also elected.

This directive further required that the Fair Housing Act be enforced in a way that prohibits discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.

Greed, Grift & Debauchery

A “disheveled man, smelling of booze and cigarettes” drops off a laptop for repair at a Wilmington, Delaware, computer shop. After examining the liquid-damaged device, the proprietor, John Paul Mac Isaac, asks for the owner’s name and has him sign the work order. Later, Mac Isaac retrieves the data from the laptop and makes several unsuccessful attempts to contact the owner.

The disheveled owner of the laptop was Hunter Biden.

Cesspit Trolls

I was flipping through TV channels earlier today and stopped for a moment on an interview with Kathy Griffin. For those of you that don’t remember, Griffin is the alleged comedian that in 2017 decided it would be funny to have a picture taken of her with the mock, bloody, decapitated head, of President Trump. I changed the channel.
