Yesterday, my phone rang and a mechanical voice informed me, “Due to unusual activity, your social security account had been frozen and you will not receive future deposits. To correct this issue stay on the line and speak with a representative.” I slammed the phone down.
Earn this Freedom
On my most recent driving excursion, I heard the Democrat mayor of Los Angeles, Eric Garcetti, announce the relaxation of some COVID-19 restrictions he had imposed upon business and the movement of citizens in the city. With that, he said, “let's continue to earn this freedom.”

When parents send a child to college they expect that, in return for the huge financial cost, their son or daughter will receive significant academic benefit equipping them for a future career. However, instead of promoting educational rigor, many colleges focus on sports, cultural fads, or progressive memes.
If Hollywood had its Way
People might expect movies produced by conservatives to have a bland story, stiff acting with a heavy dose of pandering. Shut In has none of those issues. It’s not a perfect movie, it has a slow start but it really picks up, and along the way, it has a lot of surprises.
The Pandemic is Over
Early in January, I was watching Fox News when host Greg Gutfeld declared that the Pandemic would be over for him on February 1st. Greg wasn’t being a prophet. He regularly mixes humor and politics. In this case, he spoke with a mix of humor and frustration. He decided the first of February would be the day he would stop worrying about the virus.

When GoFundMe blocked donations to the Canadian truckers, GiveSendGo stepped up and, at last report, has raised $5 million. Today, the trucker blockade remains and they continue to raise funds for food and fuel on GiveSendGo.

Liberals are perplexed by how difficult it is to prohibit, or even restrict, gun ownership. A large part of the reason is the political sway of the sixteen million gun owners in America. Another part of the reason gun rights are upheld is that gun owners are organized.
American Justice?
In the early morning hours of January 19, 2021, an FBI Swat Team with tactical combat gear, automatic weapons, and an armored vehicle equipped with a battering ram raided the Virginia farm of Thomas Caldwell and his wife Sharon. With guns drawn, FBI agents entered their home, searched it, removed phones and computers, along with a pocket-sized copy of the constitution. Then they handcuffed Thomas and took him away.
Cesspit Trolls
I was flipping through TV channels earlier today and stopped for a moment on an interview with Kathy Griffin. For those of you that don’t remember, Griffin is the alleged comedian that in 2017 decided it would be funny to have a picture taken of her with the mock, bloody, decapitated head, of President Trump. I changed the channel.
To Keep and Bear Arms, Part II
The Declaration of Independence states, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights….” That is a more powerful statement than at first it might appear. It declares that rights are not granted by a king or government. Rights come directly from God. Self-defense has been a right since the dawn of civilization. An enemy might attack you but, they could not say you didn’t have a right to defend yourself.
We the People
Christian films have a long and deserved reputation for bad acting and preachy plots. This has gradually changed so that there are now better Christian films with good acting. However, the ultimate purpose of Christian cinema remains the same, to bring a better understanding of the faith to both Christian and non-Christian viewers. God’s Not Dead: We the People is a good example of the continued improvement of Christian film production.
Another Notch Better
The last few decades have seen great strides in the quality of Christian cinema. God’s Not Dead is another notch of improvement and an example of what can be done with an earnest film that has a strong faith message. The main character, Josh, is shown standing up for his faith despite the consequences. Professor Radisson is villainized but, I know of several professors like him in our public colleges and universities.

When it comes to gun violence, law-abiding gun owners should always remember they are not the problem. They are not looting and robbing stores. They are not burglarizing homes or murdering the innocent. The trial of Kyle Rittenhouse has shown that citizens have a right to defend themselves when politicians fail to act.
The Voice of Conservative Millennials
CNN, MSNBC, and the New York Times often lean so far left that they get basic facts wrong. Examples abound, such as the Kyle Rittenhouse trial or about Trump-Russia collusion. However, a new, grassroots media, is emerging. Founded in 2015 in Los Angeles, The Daily Wire is a fast-growing Internet media company, that works from a conservative perspective to get the facts right. A variety of shows are daily released online.
Times that Try
When many were trying to find a path to freedom, Dr. Joseph Warren led the way. It’s a shame that today he’s largely ignored in public school history classes. This country would be better served if more books like The Adversaries were available. As I read the story I couldn’t help but ask what would have happened if people had made different choices?

I wore the U.S. Navy uniform for twenty years. Over the years, I’ve seen many ignorant and thoughtless people disrespect the uniform and those who serve. However, I never expected Black Rifle Coffee Company, a veteran-owned business, to show the juvenile and thoughtless impertinence I witnessed in their latest video.

In a constitutional republic, such as the United States, does the government have a right to take your house and land? It may surprise some of you that yes, the government can take your property and, the Supreme Court ruled in 2005, that they can even give it to another person.
CRT — What Can I Do?
Most Americans hope that the dream of Martin Luther King Jr. will be fulfilled and children will grow up in a nation where they would “not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.” Recently, a Loudoun County, Virginia, mother pulled her children from public school after her six-year-old asked if she was “born evil” because she’s white. King’s dream may not be possible if we allow this new CRT racism to grow.
B is for Brainwashed
It’s disturbing that we live at a time when parents must check the content of their children’s pre-school and kindergarten books but as A is for Activist shows—they must. Written and illustrated by Innosanto Nagara, A is for Activist masquerades as a board book for teaching ABCs but as it states on the back cover, the book is for “families who want their kids to grow up in a space that is unapologetic about activism, environmental justice, civil rights, LGBTQ rights, and everything else that we believe in and fight for.”
Deeply Flawed
If a valid idea rests upon a solid grounding of facts then Stamped, by Jason Reynolds and Ibram X. Kendi rests upon nothing more than sand. Within its pages, I found repeated generalizations. Inconvenient facts were glossed over and there were repeated factual errors.
